Goal: $2,000.00
Specific Need
We are raising funds to buy tools and equipment for a replacement tanker for our nearly 30-year-old engine 28-11. We anticipate replacing the 1000-gallon engine with a 2,500-gallon tanker that can also accommodate a crew of up to 6 personnel. Some equipment can be reassigned from our older engine to the new tanker, but some new equipment will be needed to outfit the tanker.
- Traffic control cones $30 apiece
- Hydrant wrenches $30 apiece
- Spanner wrenches $45 apiece
- Set of irons $400
- Water fire extinguisher $200
- Dry chemical and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers $450 apiece
- Fog nozzles $1,000 apiece
- Misc adapters and couplings $2,500
- Fire service ladders $800-1,200 apiece
- Rescue saw $1,500
We plan to use community donations and any state and federal grants over the next two years to outfit a replacement apparatus.
