Cambridge Revitalization Economic and Tourism Expansion (CREATE)

Specific Need

Thank you very much for the $2,245 in donations to CREATE in Crawford Gives 2023.   This year, we would appreciate your donations toward our extensive improvements to the Recreation Park at the Carnival Grounds - adding new playground equipment, basketball / pickleball courts, walking track, updated concession stand and restrooms, and lighting for the softball fields.  This is a multi-year $1.2 Million Dollar Project, as CREATE has major grant applications pending with both DCNR and DCED.   ( see the attached budget).   Also, CREATE is raising funds to change the pothole filled dirt Fireman's Parking lot, next to the post office, into a durable "packed millings" surface.   The fireman's funds go toward their equipment needs, so let's help out them out and finally have a smooth surface to park our vehicles while doing business at the post office.    Also, any donations towards CREATE's operating costs to advance our revitalization efforts in Cambridge Springs will be very helpful as well.     All donations are tax-deductible.   Thank you for supporting CREATE!

With the goal of envisioning a brighter Cambridge Springs for current and future generations, the vision of CREATE is to be both a fundraising and philanthropic entity that supports and encourages revitalization initiatives in the Cambridge Springs area.  The primary areas of focus for CREATE will be to support new commercial development, community beautification and recreation, historical preservation, and advancement of the arts.  CREATE will also seek to highlight and utilize the French Creek Waterway in its revitalization efforts.  CREATE's overall goal is to help make the Cambridge Springs area a place that residents and businesses can be proud to be a part of and that visitors will want to return to.
