Specific Need

Common Grounds exists for the purpose of providing a safe place for the teens and young adults of Crawford County and beyond. Common Grounds is completely staffed by 25 plus volunteers. Common Grounds is open most every Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings as well as additional evenings for extra events.

Common Grounds is located at what used to be know as Grotto Park which is located just north of Saegertown. 19473 Grotto Lane, Saegertown, PA

Our specific need is ongoing in that we maintain an 11 acre property with buildings and pavillions that need maintained. In addition to the ongoing maintenance the young people attend at no cost and regularly are given snacks and meals.

Mission

Common Grounds of Crawford County Vision: A gathering place where young people can socialize free of negative influences and where they connect and find common ground. Common Grounds of Crawford County Mission: Reach out to the youth and young people of Crawford County working together with local churches and other likeminded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the word of God and prayer and have a passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

Profile

Common Grounds exists because the community saw a need for a safe place for young people to gather together. We have a cafe building which provides a great indoor space during cool months where the teens and young adults can play pool, pingpong, board games or just get together with friends and have conversation. During the warmer months there is a great outdoor space where they can play sand volleyball, octaball, disc golf, wiffle ball and other outdoor games as well as enjoy sitting around a campfire. There is a large pavillion which is used often for graduation parties and recently several weddings have taken place.
