Profile

History

Started in 1989 with a few members meeting from the Conneaut Valley Area who were interested in preserving the Valley's History.

Mission is to preserve the history of Beaver, Conneaut, Spring and Summerhill Townships, and the Boroughs of Conneautville and Springboro.

They first met and established a small museum on the second floor of the Stone Memorial Library in Conneautville.

in 1991 the museum was outgrowing it's space and a house owned by the President, which was a Sear's Ordered house, was used as the museum until September 1, 2015.

New Location

The Christ Lutheran Church in Shadeland had to close it's doors due to decline in attendance. The church asked CVAHS if we would want to move into the building and own it.

This church once began as the Shadeland School.

On September 1st 2015 CVAHS moved it's museum to the church/school.

The museum is currently open to the public free of charge on Saturdays from Noon to 2:00 pm and by appointments.

Our income consists of Yearly Membership Dues ($20), grants, donations and selling merchandise.

Our Address is: 24928 State Hwy 18, Box 262, Springboro, PA 16435 (In the Village of Shadeland)
