Specific Need

The Meadville Children's Center has always believed in following science-based methods of teaching to provide the ideal learning environment for our children. Evidence shows that children benefit from structured lesson plans throughout each day, and our teachers work hard to put together a curriculum for each year to ensure each classroom is promoting early childhood education and development. Not only do our teachers come up with a yearly curriculum, but they also have dedicated planning time each week to revise lessons, adjust weekly goals, and tailor their teaching to the needs of each student. Most of this planning is done using computers to type up lesson plans and stay current on the latest instructional data, but unfortunately many of our computers are out of date and on their last legs. This year we would like to raise the funds needed to replace the computers our teachers use, which should make creating lesson plans easier for them and ensure the students continue to receive the best education possible.

The Meadville Children’s Center is a Keystone 4 Star facility dedicated to providing your children with year-round care from 6 weeks old to 12 years old.
