Profile
The Crawford County School for Adult Education is excited to announce our fifth year of providing quality educational services and learning that will change lives and foster civic engagement.
For those who need their General Education Diploma, our GED classes continue to meet weekly. Our students continue to show progress in their preparation for both the GED Ready Test as well as the GED Exam itself. Our volunteer instructors do a great job of meeting all our students where they are and tailoring instruction individually.
English as a Second Language continues to grow in number and is helping students to gain confidence in their English-speaking ability as they prepare to become employed in the area.
CCSAE continues to offer certifications in CPR, Basic First Aid and ServSafe, so that our students can also add these to their individual portfolios.
We are excited to be launching STRIVE, our newest work readiness and communication course, which will provide students with necessary skills to obtain employment.
All these program offerings, free to Crawford County residents aged 18 and older, are made possible through generous donations from our community.
We have partnered with Crawford Gives 2022 through the Crawford County Heritage Foundation to garner additional support for courses, certifications, technology, transportation, and instructional tools,
Our mantra as an organization is “Self-Family-Community.” We want to first serve the individual students and attend to their specific needs. We believe in a whole-student approach and want to develop and build on students’ unique talents.
We believe that there is no problem that we can’t overcome if we work together as a team. We welcome community involvement. We currently have a very diverse group of volunteers and would like to grow that list even more. We are as passionate as ever for the next year. Our mission remains: “ To provide quality education, services and learning opportunities that will change lives and foster civic engagement.”
