Specific Need

Child to Family Connections will use funds raised by this year's Crawford Gives to provide support for our foster families and the children they serve. Since 2002, Child to Family Connections has placed over 120 children in foster homes with 13 of those placements occurring in the last year. We have facilitated 66 adoptions since 2002. These placements and adoption don't happen without dedicated families. Our families are specially trained to care for a child with special needs and are prepared to help a child navigate their journey into a new family. Each year Child to Family Connections invests time and resources into new and diverse training to help our families accept new children into their home, while also integrating those children into their already established lifestyle. All donations will be used to invest in new training opportunities, family-specific specialty items not typically covered by county reimbursement, as well as tokens of appreciation.

Child to Family Connections’ mission is to partner with individuals and families to recognize their strengths, build relationships, and provide the support and encouragement they need to succeed.

Profile

Child to Family Connections was incorporated in April 2002 as a private, nonprofit licensed foster care agency in Crawford County. Its purpose was to help foster families become licensed and receive placements. The agency has grown in numbers and programs. CFC now employs over 30 full and part-time employees. We provide many licensed and contracted services in Crawford, Venango, and Clarion Counties. Services include Home and Community Services, Foster Care, State Wide Adoption Network (SWAN), Family Group Decision Making, and Transitional Housing.
