EHCA Crawford County (EHCA Foundation)

Specific Need

EHCA is growing in Crawford County!

This is one of the reasons why we recently had a logo change - we are not just located in Erie! EHCA is actually in the counties of Erie, Crawford, and Venango and we have operated two community homes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Titusville for more than a decade. EHCA is currently building a new home in Meadville, with one more Meadville home planned for the near future. Our Crawford County office just opened on Washington Street in Meadville, and in addition to residential programming for people with IDD we also offer two community programs - Options, which helps people with IDD to live more independently in the community and Lifesharing, which helps people with IDD that require supervised living an opportunity to live in a home where they are considered a part of the family.

Your gift to Crawford Gives will help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities that may be living right next door!

We would use funds from Crawford Gives to purchase tools and equipment for people in the Options program to participate in clubs and activities at our Meadville office (for example, purchasing baking and cooking utensils and equipment for an Options Cooking Club or art supplies to create their own works of art and hold an art show for the community). Options clubs and activities are tailored to the individual likes and goals of each program participant

Mission

The mission of EHCA is to assist people with disabilities to live rich and fulfilling lives.

To fulfill this mission, EHCA provides compassionate, therapeutic, and medical support to individuals of all ages and all levels of disability while enabling them to live with purpose and dignity. We provide opportunities and choices for individuals to grow to their full potential, coordinating services that maximize ability and participation in a variety of community settings. The agency has been a part of our community and region for nearly 110 years and has grown and changed as community needs have changed.
