Not One More, Northwest Pennsylvania

Specific Need

Not One More, Northwest Pennsylvania is working to bring licensed recovery housing for women with Substance Use Disorders to Northwest Pennsylvania. Our housing program is called Hayden House, and will soon provide housing for about eight (8) women in recovery.

Amongst the 120 licensed recovery houses in Pennsylvania, there are 0 in Crawford, Erie, Warren, Venango, Mercer, Forest, Clarion or Butler Counties. The closest licensed recovery house is in Lawrence County, there is one, and it serves men only.

Once we pass the licensing process, Hayden House will become a self-sustaining program of Not One More, Northwest Pennsylvania. With the support of their peers, the women who live there will engage in substance use disorder treatment, pay rent and taxes, work in our community and return to their families and communities in their own time. However, we need your help to get there.

We need your help to capitalize on this opportunity and are asking you to invest in the health and wellbeing of our community. Our volunteers have been scraping wallpaper inside, applying plaster, and cleaning everything. We are working at painting the exterior before the snow flies. In order to ensure the comfort of the women, we are undergoing a complete replacement of the plumbing, sewage and gas. We are replacing the furnaces, adding tankless water heaters and water filtration systems, adding a wheelchair ramp, and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. 

This will be a very labor intensive and costly endeavor to get us to opening day, and we are so grateful for any contribution you can make this Crawford Gives.
