Specific Need

Emergency rescues, in addition to regular intakes are quite costly for a small nonprofit organization such as SLURP. We are nowhere near what we want to be, but we are making a huge impact in local communities. Not afraid to take on the hard cases, we often have a need for both emergency vet care and basic necessities for the care of our rescue critters. Operating solely on community donations, you make every rescue possible and give a second chance to every animal at SLURP Rescue.

We ask you to consider helping the small organizations like SLURP grow so that we may become a bigger resource for both animals & the community.

Mission

SLURP is dedicated to helping neglected, abused, abandoned, and unwanted animals in our community. With strong emphasis on spay and neuter programs to help regulate the stray/feral cat population in our communities. Community involvment, pet owner education and kid/student programs are all very important to us.

Profile

Because of your support, we are SLURP Animal Rescue. Strays Love Us Rescue Program(SLURP), Is a small 501 c 3 nonprofit, volunteer, no kill facility for rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of local animals that have suffered neglect, abuse or abandonment in our community. Cats dogs, rabbits birds and guinea pigs are the only a few that benefit from SLURP. Occasionally a skunk, opposum, racoon or other wild creatures stealing food from the live traps at are rescued sites benefit from a snack and human kindness.

We are funded only by local fundraisers, yard sales, bake sales, individual donations and this Crawford Gives event. Your donation to SLURP today provides the largest portion of our yearly budget determining the impact we are able to provide animals and people in our community. This makes it necessary for us to raise the most funds possible to help the animals. Any amount given is always needed and greatly appreciated. Because of your donations, We can spend less time worrying about operating cost and concentrate on what is important... animal rescue and care. At SLURP, We also strongly believe in helping community and individuals in any way possible to ensure the success of all. We participate and provide what we can to community, charity events, individual fundraisers,kid and school events. This often requires us going above and beyond animal rescue but keeps our strong ties to community.

With the funds received today,In addition to our other fundraising, we can continue to provide shelter, food, vet care, community events, education, kids programs and community education programs.

Slurp does not receive large grant money. Thus making your donation all that more important.

Slurp and other small organizations make HUGE impact on a shoe string budget every year. We know how to stretch a dollar to ensure the best for the animals in our care.
