Goal: $2,000.00
Specific Need
We are raising funds to buy equipment to outfit the replacement pumper for our 30-year-old engine 28-11. We anticipate the arrival of the new 2,500-gallon pumper in December 2024. Some equipment can be reassigned from our older engine, but some new equipment will still be needed to outfit the new engine.
- Master intake valve
- Hose adapters with safety locks
- Low-flow strainer
The safety locks on adapters are crucial for large diameter hoses (LDH) to prevent accidental disconnections. Using older adapters without safety locks in training and on emergency incidents has resulted in unintended disconnections, interrupting the flow of water and threatening our firefighters with serious injury.
We have been using community donations and state grant funds to purchase equipment to outfit the replacement apparatus. Help us finish this project to increase our effectiveness in serving West Mead Township and the surrounding areas!
Mission
The men and women of West Mead 1 are dedicated to protecting the lives and property of West Mead Township. We pledge to do everything we can to keep the residents of this great community safe.
