Wildlife in Need Emergency Response of Pennsylvania

Specific Need

How will your donation help Wildlife In Need?

Your Donation will help WIN purchase the wide range of nets and other apparatus necessary for the capture of flighted birds, including eagles, owls, geese, ducks, and songbirds.  Basic nets with telescoping handles cost around $25, bownets for the safe capture of larger raptors are ~$350.

Your Donation will help WIN purchase humane traps for the capture of Foxes, Raccoons, Opossums and Skunks.  Humane Traps cost from $50 to $200 each.

Your Donation will support costs associated with the answering service that routes calls to trained dispatchers, and the app that connects dispatchers to available volunteers.

Your Donation will help enable Pre-Exposure Rabies Vaccinations for our volunteers. Those vaccinations can cost upwards of $1,200 and are rarely covered by insurance.  Only vaccinated volunteers may respond to calls about Foxes, Raccoons, Skunks, Groundhogs and Bats.

Your Donation will also allow us to further educate members of the public and attract more volunteers through community outreach and participation in local festivals, conferences and outdoor expos.

DO YOU KNOW WHO TO CALL WHEN YOU FIND AN INJURED, ORPHANED OR SICK WILD ANIMAL?

THOUSANDS OF PENNSYLVANIANS KNOW THE ANSWER - THEY CALLED WIN - WILDLIFE IN NEED

Your donation WILL help save PA Wildlife!
Wildlife In Need Emergency Response of PA (WIN) is an all volunteer, nonprofit, statewide organization for capturing injured, sick and orphaned wildlife throughout all counties in Pennsylvania.

In 2023, WIN responded to well over 3000 calls from the public, and the numbers have already surpassed 3,500 thus far in 2024. Without WIN, many animals would suffer and die, often due to illnesses or injuries directly related to unnatural causes (e.g., vehicle strikes, lead poisoning, habitat destruction). The number of wildlife helped can continue to grow with your support!

Below is just a small selection of the many different types of animals helped by Wildlife in Need PA volunteers:
