Month’s after acquiring two buildings in Meadville, EUMA’s 10-unit apartment building, South Main Place, suffered a sprinkler system break. High pressured water sprayed water throughout the newly renovated first floor. Upon arrival, water flowed through the front door of one of the guest’s apartments and down the stairs like a waterfall. All first floor dry wall, flooring, furniture, security camera system and homeless guest’s belongings
were damaged or destroyed. While EUMA has insurance, uncovered costs are mounting and are projected to reach $25,000.

You have supported your EUMA’s The Refuge. Last night 10 private shelter rooms were full with single Moms and single Dads all, working to get on a pathway to permanent housing.
You have supported your EUMA’s Liberty House for homeless Veteran men. Last night ten men, who first served us, now are getting the help they need to enter recovery, battle their mental illness and secure a permanent home of their own.
You have supported your EUMA’s Our Neighbors’ Place seasonal overflow shelter—Erie County’s shelter of last resort. Last season, youth, 18-24 and adults 65 years of age and older increased by double digits. You kept them safe and helped ten of them move into permanent housing.
You have supported your EUMA’s Rainbow Connection Thrift Store voucher program that gave away over $55,000 in items our neighbors needed including the coats, hats, shoes, work/school clothes, small appliances, furniture and other household items, free of charge to those in need.
TODAY, we seek your support to end homelessness, through your EUMA, right here in Crawford County, by providing both temporary and permanent housing for our homeless neighbors in greatest need.
